In 2019, I graduated from Lorain County Community College and earned an AS. In 2020, I earned a BS in Mathematics at the University of Toledo. I plan to earn a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education. In the summer of 2019, I participated in an applied math research program at Indian University Purdue University Insititute where I studied neuroscience and synchronization patterns that occur in our brains. I am from Cleveland, Ohio, and love spending time outdoors! I was a division 1 athlete at the University of Toledo where I ran cross country and track. Chances are, you will see me running in the San Marcos area at some point! I hope to continue to improve my teaching skills while learning to conduct research in the field of Mathematics Education.
I enjoy math because it is a subject that is equally beautiful and challenging. I often learn more about myself working through a difficult problem than I do the math. There is a feeling of accomplishment like no other when you're able to solve a tough problem that didn't seem possible. Teaching math has been a rewarding experience in which I have found joy in working with students to rewrite the narrative in their math learning experiences. I love helping students find success in math so that they can attain whatever goals they have!
