I studied Bachelor of Science in Mathematics-Secondary Education at Howard Payne university. I travel often and even in March 2020 traveled to Zambia, Africa to teach at a school for two weeks. I’m pursuing a M.Ed. in mathematics at Texas State and plan on researching STEM education integrated learning.

I enjoy math because there’s the mathematics that we see in everyday life, the basic calculations that we witness. Then there’s math such as the Fibonacci numbers that we can see in pinecones, sunflowers, pineapples, etc... I appreciate that math is everywhere and I love teaching about that to my students.
