The Center for Mathematics Readiness

The Center for Mathematics Readiness (CMR) is located within the Department of Mathematics and directed by Dr. Selina Vasquez Mireles. This entity will provide a framework for faculty and staff engaged in developmental and adult-based education in general and developmental mathematics and adult-based mathematics specifically to:

1. Facilitate or conduct research on pedagogy, assessment, student characteristics, etc. using mixed methods;
2. Educate underrepresented, underserved, underprepared mathematics students
3. Provide training for the educators that teach these students; and,
4. Provide developmental mathematics services to the community.
